A Radical Proposal For Safer Air Travel: Guns and Drugs
Point #1: We know that guns don't kill people, so why not allow ordinary passengers to carry guns on airplanes?

Point #2: The increasing inconvenience of flying means that people need an incentive to fly. How about making airplanes and airports into special zones where no drug laws apply?

Point #3: We have been told that drug laws just make the drug problem worse. If we implement point #2, then we might get an indication of whether or not drug laws do just make the drug problem worse.

Point #4: If we implement point #2 then, in case of a real emergency on an airplane, people can be ready with substances to help themselves stay very, very calm.

1. Probably best not to make this suggestion in an airport security line,
Boojatta.

For my part, I'd like to see more train travel in this country. I love Europe's commitment to rail tansport.

2. You don't really want me high on weed and packing my .357 Magnum
in a crowded airplane, do you?

Something about a giggling, menopausal woman "packing heat" just strikes me as beyond absurdist theater.
