...The Leahy letter is the first time experts have had a chance to open a piece of mail known to be contaminated.

The envelope contained a photocopied letter identical to that sent to Senator Tom Daschle on 9 October, with phrases such as "We have this anthrax, you die now", and "Allah is great".

Officials believe it is part of a batch of four similar letters all sent on the same day, and all postmarked at Trenton, New Jersey. The other recipients were NBC News and the New York Post.

The Anthrax was traced to Ames research lab in Iowa, they could tell by the quality of the spores, where it was made. Not long after that story was in a few papers (NY Times for one), they quit talking about it all together.

I'm sure it's just, yet another, coincidence. There sure are A LOT of coincidences these days, isn't there?

If I recall correctly, there were four or five people who died in the anthrax attack in late 2001.

Two of them were African-American postal workers who worked at the Brentwood Facility in Washington, DC. And, if I recall correctly, they died after Postal Service management fucked up and refused to send them to a competent doctor for treatment.

So -- here we have Bush/Cheney saying that we have not been attacked since 9/11, and forgetting the needless and senseless deaths of two African-Americans.
