The Taliban Democrats and the Neoconservative Suicide Squad
Moderate, conservative Americans have to make a choice: stay the course and vote Republican or change direction and vote Democrat. Approval ratings and various polls indicate that the majority of moderate conservatives have good reasons to change the political landscape in favour of the Democrats.

Traditionally, Republicans would try to prevent this from happening by pushing the Democrats to the far left. And by doing so, turning a reasonable vote into a quantum leap. There are signs, however, that the neoconservatives fear this proven strategy might not be sufficient anymore. Apparently they agreed among themselves and the Republican party to push the Democrats even further and ‘into the caves’ of the so called Islamic Fascists. The polarizing mantra of ‘either you are with us or you are with the terrorists’ is wickedly crafted into ‘either you are a Republican or you are with the terrorists’. Democrats are now called ‘Taliban Democrats’ and Ned Lamond, for example, is portrait as ‘an Al Qaeda candidate’. Many more shameless implementations of this insane and evil strategy will show up in the coming days and months. No doubt about it.

By adopting this strategy, the neoconservatives are taking an enormous risk. These are desperate measures. By demonizing and alienating roughly half of the American people for political reasons, they are likely to alienate the Republican party from the majority of moderate conservatives. By taking the Republican party to the far right, they could loose their support altogether. I believe this will happen if the Democrats can successfully claim the political ground (in the centre) that the neoconservatives have foolishly abandoned. Senator John Kerry:

"It's clear that staying the current course in Iraq is not making the American people any safer at home or abroad, and has hurt our fight in the war on terror. We need to put the focus back where it belongs, and make America as safe as it can and must be."

Americans and people around the world, like me, are concerned that the U.S. is gradually turning into a fascist state. These concerns are proven to be justified now the neoconservatives have openly declared war on their fellow Americans. Calling your political opponent ‘a terrorist’ is a criminal, dangerous and unacceptable act. They are the tail tell signs of a fascist state. But on lighter note: they are the tail tell signs of a political suicide as well.

1. and by doing that...........
....people may begin to think, 'wait a minute, I agree with the Democrats on this issue! Does that make me a terrorist?'

For instance, about 60% of the population wants a time table and a strategy for getting out of Iraq which is also something many Democrats are saying.

You may be right about political suicide.

2. they've been calling us traitors for awhile now...
often rhetorically disguised as "un-american" but make no doubt what the point is...what do we do with traitors? we put them to death, think about that for a second...now open neo-conservative political warfare is upon us, they have all the tools of the state and a will to use them too, they just like being in charge and their followers just like leaders that make them feel safe...

all this equals insanity, and its going to get alot worse, i hope this democratic leadership can not only take it but give it back better and keep the high ground as well, becuase i can't take much more of this shit.

4. One of the problems is that neo-liberal Democrats....
will take the opportuntiy to tell us "don't criticize the war otherwise they'll label us as terrorists and we'll lose elections." Don't listen to them. If we kowtow to the administration then many voters will come to the conclusion that they might as well vote Republican, seeing as there is not much of a distinction between the two parties concerning the direction our country is taking (which, by the way, a majority feel is the wrong direction).
