will cosmetic counters and perfume sellers be able to import their |
|
products from all the different countries they import them? will we banned to homemade perfumes only? will transport of these homemade perfumes be made only by truckers on the highway? will the price of cosmetics and perfumes go up along with the price of oil?

1. Sure. Perfume will still be imported just as always. |
|
The new stupid rules only require that the perfume you bought has to be in your checked bag, not in your carry-on.

2. getting ahead of yourself, I think... |
|
There is nothing that restricts shipping these products by air as cargo (or checked baggage). Only that you can't have them in passenger compartment, for fear someone will mix certain chemicals AND bring an ignitant system to blow the plane up..

4. Shampoo isn't forbiddden. You just can't bring it in your carry-on. |
|
You can bring all the shampoo you want in your checked bag.
But, yes, it's stupid.

5. Are they planning to import their entire stock in carry-on luggage? |
|
Checked luggage (or air cargo) has never been part of these prohibitions.

6. unconfirmed reports of "body shop" in airports laying off or closing down |
|
many cosmetics sold in duty free and other airport shops are now banned, so there is a significant loss to those businesses
i do not otherwise understand your question

7. thanks (to all who posted) for the education on carry-on liquid. |
|
being that i have really made it a point not to watch the wave of frenzy spewing out of everywhere, i heard "no liquids on board" and that is all i heard. in the brief time that i watched the frenzy spewing, i saw a man having to dump a case of imported rum he bought and a duty free store, a woman having to dump an $80.oo bottle of perfume, and people having to dump water.
from that i wondered whether imports of these items would make it to our shores--but how silly of me, it never occurred to me to think that in this bush fascist state, to keep the economy going is of primary importance, what would line the pockets of the corporatists with gold otherwise? not all of them can have oil.
that was the impetus that gave rise to my question.
