Ken Mehlman on MTP is VERY CONFUSED.

So Bush's whole mantra has been this new, insidious war on terror. The terrorists want to get us, we found out after 9/11. But then Mehlmen went into a long description of prior terror attacks by Hezbollah, etc. So Mehlmen - is the war on terror a new thing or not? Jerk.

Mehlmen: Cut and run in Iraq which the Democrats have made their "orthodoxy." Mehlmen also kept saying the Democrats voted against the Patriot Act. Well no wonder, asshole! It turns us into a police state.

I say we make a new talking point: "Republicans are the party of endangering our troops and our national security."

3. Mr. Mehlman is characteristically confused. Distinctly indistinct.
Blurred about the edges.

Muddle-headed mediocrity masquerading as a keen political operative.

Let's wait and see how things turn out this November. I think he's in over his head in this job.

4. Did anyone think to ask Mehlman where Osama is?
or why the current Administration seems incapable of providing any
sort of credible answers to questions raised by the victims of terrorism?

No? I didn't think so.

5. Who remembers the last RNC Chairman who they didn't revile?
I suspect it comes in the job description. The Republicans do seem to have a special talent for finding particularly despicable individuals though-c'mon; Haley Barbour? Ed Gillespie? And now, this little cockroach?

Al Qaeda was to drive the US from Iraq, and that they've said as much in their own statements.

Why didn't he bring up that right after 9/11, the Al Qaeda goal was specifically to drive the US from Saudi Arabia?

This is a goal that has been achieved, our troops are out.

Talk about cut and run.

8. Almost none of the insurgency is imported. It's a local act in Iraq.
As usual, Mehlman is full of shit.

7. Mehlman is under the impression that Israel and the US have fused.

He claimed that the terrorism at the Munich Olympics were an attack on the US.

Moron.

9. New talking point: Get our priorities straight. Can't do it all. Spend
all the money on Iraq, which is not now and never was a threat or spend it on "fighting terror" saving social security, medicare, education.

Dem talking point needs to be: we have limited resources and the American people need to decide how they want to spend it. Continue with the no win and wasteful spending or time for a new "America First" agenda.

14. All the Republicans have is: "stay the course with our failed policies."
It's time for a change. This November, tell them "You're fired."

(Too long for a bumper sticker, but maybe good for a 30 second TV advert.) :)
