I watched the BBC documentary "The Power of Nightmares" last night

one of my coworkers lent it to me. I recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

As I watched the sections on the rise of the neocons in the U.S., starting with the Reagan administration, I kept wondering, why didn't I pay more attention to this stuff back then? Then I realized why, no Internet, no DU, the only information I got was from the MSM, that's how these bastards have gotton by with this crap for so long.

I was especially take aback during the third hour when it discusses that there really never was an Al Queda, it was something the CIA made up so Bin Laden could prosecuted as the head of a criminal organization. Why the hell doesn't the American media ever do reports like this? (Okay, that's more of a rhetorical question).
