And they're still double what they were when Bush took office.

1. They will fall in time for the elections.
The oil companies manipulated prices in 2000 for the Republicans, I suspect they are doing so now.

Lots of bad things will look just a teensy bit better right before the election. And the media will tout every positive-looking economic burp as if it were volcanic.

2. They went up 20 cents in two weeks here...
but yesterday they came down ONE WHOLE PENNY
...so now I'm so relieved I'm gonna go dance naked in the street and max out my credit card.

3. here in miami it looks like an all time high to me.
certainly not any reduction.

i saw diesel at almost 4.00/gal yesterday (3.9x) on calle ocho.

The less gas there is in the world, the higher it's going to cost. Then one day, it will cost nothing, because no more of it will be left.
