TSA providing 50 gallon Mixing bowl for Bombers
Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 03:10 AM by Freedom_Aflaim
So lets see.

TSA is concerned that terrorist may bring liquids onto a plane, and mix them into a bomb.

Fine.

So they ban liquids.

Fine.

Then they provide a 50 gallon drum at each metal detector, in a place where the hundreds of people are crowded together.

Hmmm Ok.

Then ask people to pour their liquids into the 50 gallon drum (garbage can), effectively mixing them together. People can also throw away other things - anything including electronics or other devices (capable of detonating a bomb)

WTF!!!!

TSA has essentially provided the bomb container, and given carte blanche to any terrorist to mix their bombs in an area with the least security (before the checkpoint) and the highest concentration of people in the entire airport.

Ok, forget bombs, what if Terrorist #1 brings bleach. Ok pour it out. Terrorist #2 brings Amonia. Ok pour it out. Guess what. You just gassed the entire screening area and TSA helped'm do it. Thats just two deadly mixes in common knowledge..their are thousands of other deadly combination that any chemist can tell you about.

I certainly don't feel any safer.

1. Agreed
And an excellent point! But should we expect anything more from our sadly confused leadership? Hopefully the addition of many, many tubes of toothpaste and lipstick will prevent a hiccup in this non-plan.

2. Bleach + Ammonia == Chlorine gas.
Deadly stuff. Can at minimum do severe damage mucous membranes. At worst, it can kill.

3. Obviously you aren't AFRAID enough, cuz you're still THINKING!
Don't you know that if we THINK, the terrorists WIN?
Dick Cheney said so!

4. Except...that I either heard or read yesterday that some local
leaders are considering selling some of the discarded items on ebay...that is if the items are still unopened and in "new" condition. I believe I heard on tv that Mayor Bloomberg was one of those considering such a solution.

YUK --- KEE!

5. Two Tons left behind at Tampa International -
compacted and shipped to the dump-

>>On Friday, most of the trash consisted of empty water bottles and soft drink cups. And collections were way down from Thursday, when passengers were dumping every liquid, paste, gel, ointment, aerosol, oil and wax.

Two tons were left behind.

“I would have loved to give a lot of the stuff to coalitions for the homeless, so it would go to people who could use it,” Miller said. “But it wasn’t sanitary. So we put it in the trash compactor and shipped it to the dump.”
<<

The good news is, duty-free liquor was in secure hands-

>>One store unaffected by the travel restrictions — despite its reliance on liquids — was the duty free shop at Airside F, used by all international arrivals and departures.

Passengers buy liquor and perfumes in the shop but don’t carry them out of the store. Instead, authorized personnel deliver the items to the passengers once they have boarded their aircraft — the products are never out of secure hands.<<

6. All this and still 'stuff 'can come in over borders and by ship
I think we have a super highway from Tx. to Ill. to get all the 'stuff' to you faster. Sort of a crazy plan. Planes look good to do something to any how. I guess they for get most of this 'stuff' to blow up people has come is plain old trucks and cars and trains, that is if you read about it from around the world.
