How are the 'freepers' reacting to the Google search records subpoena? |

Can any brave soul report? I imagine they like their porn as much as anyone, and are a whole lot more ashamed by it.

I checked on them, earlier, and they're not happy about it. Nope, not at all.

9. Gee, imagine that - maybe because it affects them too? |
|
I forget who it was on this board that said it, but when you start messing with people's porn, that's when they start getting pissed.

7. They can reformat all they want... |

...the gov't is asking for Google's log files, not theirs.
Seems like another "lookie us wave the flag" over here, while they do something else wicked over there.
Like tacking on a pork-barrel project to a must-pass bill, it strikes me they're using something no one can disagree with (protecting children online) to prop up this massive Google sweep witch-hunt.
They'll see how this goes...and then...the deluge.
Looks like when * said he wasn't going to stop with invading the communications privacy of the American citizenry, he wasn't kidding.

10. yeah but the inference that their search phrases will be scrutinized |
|
is gonna hit a nerve. The thing that people feel the most secretive and private about is sexual stuff, and people who are ashamed of sex even more so.
This is one thing that will really get the freepers thinking - no sorry, not thinking but reacting anyway.

:sarcasm: Interesting how they flip out when it is something that will effect them isn't it.
