why does billy zane and gary busey hate american?

"Valley of the Wolves: Iraq is yet a new Turkish action movie which has caused a media/blogging stormlet because of its timely setting (Northern Iraq) and because two "name" U.S. actors (Billy Zane and Gary Busey) play the American villains."

2. I like Billy Zane
he and I almost look exactly the same (except, of course, he is better looking than me). I am glad to see that he is not a Gary Sinese. I don;t think I could take that.

As an aside, I really didn't mind him being the bad guy in Titanic. Sometimes the most liberal actors play conservative assholes the best.

10. Gary Sinese is an actor I enjoyed
Who happens to be a conservative Bushbot. It was disheartening to hear.

I think there was a thread about it on DU two weeks ago.

15. I just searched...
..."sinese," and the correct "sinise" for the last month in GD, GD Politics and the Lounge, and found nothing. I'd be interested to see your source. I am, of course, aware of his Lt. Dan Band, but that doesn't necessarily make him a RWer. God knows, someone has to try to provide the soldiers with adequate gear, etc., since the Pentagon sure isn't interested in doing it.

13. a real letdown
I hate that Gary Sinese and Robert Duvall are rightwingers. But they're the only two talented actors I know of who are Bushbots.

5. Like Alec Baldwin and Alan Alda in "The Aviator"
I saw it on Encore over the weekend. Finally, I've seen a Leo movie in which I enjoyed his performance! I actually felt very sorry for Howard Hughes after seeing the movie. He was portrayed as someone with crippling OCD.

Alec Baldwin plays the head of Pan Am, and Alan Alda plays the senator he has on his payroll.

3. Billy Zane has always creeped me completely out.
Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 11:39 AM by Shakespeare
Maybe it's because Dead Calm was the first movie I saw him in, but there's just something so unbearably creepy about him in general that I have a hard time watching him in anything. :scared:

He makes a great villain, but he creeps me out.

I think creepy is a good way to describe him. I'm sure he's a nice guy in person.
