So why the BinLadin audio tape?
Edited on Fri Jan-20-06 06:43 AM by FreedomAngel82
In the past whenever BinLadin himself wanted to send out a message to people it would always be by video. He never hid himself from the world that I'm aware of when he wanted someone to know a message. So why now the audio tape? Because, I believe, that BinLadin is dead and the other guy who was protraying him (the big nose, a lil husky BinLadin) people were getting too suspecious so they had to do the audio tape. I find quite strange the whole thing. How it was written in English and translated into Arabic (how do you tell??) and how he said "God" instead of "Allah." So what do you think the deal is?

On edit: Oops, I got the last part backwards. He said "God" instead of "Allah."

1. Bin Laden has issued plenty of "audio only" tapes
He reserved the video for the 2004 election.

7. I'm only working from memory...
... but yeah, Bin Laden's a fan of the audio tape.

When they "play" the audio tape on TV, they often accompany it with the standard terrorist fare, you know, Muslims on Monkeybars and what-not.

But it's unusual, in my memory, for Bin Laden to appear on video. Not since Election '04.

I could be wrong.

2. Pavlov's nation: we respond to a spooky voice now
what a level we've sunk to. our military is wasting it's time in iraq while terrorists sneak up on us and we are not prepared in the least.

3. Isn't it pathetic?
We were once a big, tough, bad-ass, kick-ass nation.

Now we're reduced to a puddle of fear because of some scary, elusive bogeyman.

I'm entirely disgusted.

5. For real
It's quite pathetic. I hope these new democrats running for Congress, like Hackett for example, don't fall for the bull. I wonder what he thinks of this.

9. Hack should he talking about this
I'm sure he will. He's been on fire lately, even accusing the right wing religious wingnuts of being no different from Bin Laden.

Wish we had more like him out there. And yet, he's struggling in his primary here in Ohio. It's a crying shame.

6. The most suspicious thing about the audio tapes is how the CIA
comes right out and authenticates them within an hour or two.

Since when does the CIA do on-demand tape authentication? They don't. The very idea that there are people at the CIA authenticating tapes, and releasing positions on their own accord, is laughable. You can't get any government agency to work like that, and they're not allowed to even if they could.

The CIA either had this tape long ago, or they made it.

As for the timing, this is all about making the NSA spying "legit."

8. Right
It is weird. But I remember in December of 2004 Bush purged the CIA. Anybody who wasn't a "yes" person he fired. I do remember that. So I wonder if that's part of the whole thing. But how can you tell when something was first written in English and than translated? I don't get it?

11. My BS antennae went nuts over this, Angel.
It's just bogus. The business about GOD vs. ALLAH is the clincher, IMO.

This Bin Laden tape originated in a bunker in Virginia.

We are being manipulated so the Patriot Act will get ratified again.

12. Bin Laden needs Bush--Bush needs Bin Laden
What would happen to Bin Laden if the US pulled out of Iraq:

He'd lose his convenient training ground for terrorists.

Recruitment would drop.

He'd get a short boost in popularity in the Arab world--but without a hated enemy to fight against he'd lose stature fast.

Iraqi Shiites might very well kick Zarquawi's murderous ass out of Iraq.

He'd be in alot more danger of being captured or killed by U.S. forces if they could actually concentrate on hunting down and killing Al Queda.

Assuming that this really is Bin Laden and that he's a free man running his terrorist organization from some undisclosed location--hmmm--the last thing he'd want is for sanity to prevail in the United States.

As for Bush--he's in deep shit. And now, right on cue, here comes America's greatest enemy spouting talking points that wouldn't sound out of place coming from his political enemies to discredit the antiwar movement and any politican who has opposed him.

Bin Laden and Bush--Perfect Together.

13. The alleged Bin Laden tape would be more believable if
h wasn't a cia member and a business associate of b*shco. Just so happens that we need a dose of terra to keep us in line and get the blindered sheep on board for the patiot act and domestic spying.

Good job with the God reference! It is rather nice of Bin Laden to fess up for all the unproven terrorist acts conducted in his name. I'm sure dubco is happy that he's their man

14. Oh yes I'm sure
And I did find the God thing interesting. Even though God and Allah are the same since he speaks Arabic he would call him "Allah" and has in the past. I've never heard of BinLadin calling Allah God.

15. I get more skeptical everyday
There are many unanswered questions regarding 911 and the war. Everytime the going gets tough for dubco, Binnie surfaces. We allowed bin laden to escape Tora Bora and we flew his whole family out of the US after 911.
:argh:

16. He will never be caught by *
The bushies and Bin Laden families have been business partners for so long it isn't even funny. I was skeptical the minute I heard the Bin Laden family was flown out of the US on 9/11, when no planes were allowed in the air. * needs Osama and Osama needs *, these two use each other for their own purposes and there is no way Osama will be brought to justice while * is in office. He's too convenient a tool.
