Five people accused of making bombs

(8/11/06 - KTRK/MONTGOMERY COUNTY, TX) - Five people have been arrested in Montgomery County. The suspects are charged in connection with an incident involving explosive devices back in June. Now the multi-agency investigation even involves the ATF.

A look at the indictment says the bomb was made by placing buckshot in a can and using a fuse. With these five arrests authorities believe they have broken up what they call a dangerous criminal enterprise.

Neighbor Noel Jaramillo remembers when it happened. The explosion was near his house, two months ago, on June 22.

"It was real, real bad," he recalled. "It was kind of scary."

Authorities say the explosion was from an explosion device placed under a car parked on a street in south Montgomery County. The investigation into finding the culprits led officials to a Woodlands area house on Thursday. They only had to open the garage door to find bomb-making ingredients. snip

Arrested at the house were brothers Ian Rice and Skyler Rice. Already under arrest are Douglas Harvey and William White. Brittney Davis, 21, was also arrested. Authorities say the group has ties to the Aryan Brotherhood, and used the bomb as revenge against an acquaintance.

6. They actually BOMBED a car, they "have ties to" a group which calls for...
...the destruction of the USA, US citizens were TERRORIZED...

And yet the word "terrorist" is nowhere to be found.

I CAN'T IMAGINE WHY.

8. How come no, < RED ALERT>??
Could it be because their names were Ian, Skyler, Doug, Bill and Brittney?

The Aryan Brotherhood hasn't ever killed anyone, has it?

9. It's not terrorism when Republicans do it. Just ask Alfred Dreyling, Jr.

Believe it or not, you can find interesting stuff on Blog Explosion. Like the following bit of extreme stupidity.

Former Oklahoma City mayor Kirk Humphreys, a Republican, helped Charles Alfred Dreyling, 24, get out of jail last week after he was arrested carrying a pipe bomb into Will Rogers World Airport.

Dreyling told authorities that he had made the device and said it was “basically a pipe bomb,” according to an affidavit. Dreyling said he built the device for entertainment value, never intending to hurt anyone, and forgot that it was in his carryon bag when he brought it to the airport, the affidavit said.

Dreyling said he learned as a teenager how to build homemade explosives from Web sites like “The Anarchist’s Cook Book.” Dreyling said he has built and detonated several explosive devices for recreational purposes, according to the affidavit. — Airport Business

12. My brother-in-law lives in Montgomery Co. and builds bombs all the time
He figured out somehow that if you tape about a dozen Fourth of July sparklers together and light them that they'll blow up real well. He's as about as redneck as they come.

What are you gonna do? It was Thanksgiving, and he wanted to blow stuff up. I don't go home much.
