How Bin Laden continues to elude U.S. - Jim Miklaszewski explains
U.S. military and intelligence officials believe bin Laden remains in hiding somewhere on either side of the rugged Pakistan-Afghanistan border — his whereabouts closely guarded by local tribesmen. It's believed he rarely travels, and when he does, it's alone. No large entourage — a potential dead giveaway — and probably on motorbike.

He makes no phone calls that could be traced. And when he does communicate, it's most likely by courier.

But U.S. officials believe they are closing in. The officials claim a more aggressive Pakistani military and vastly improved intelligence have led to the killing or capture of several high ranking al-Qaida operatives in the past year — but still no bin Laden.

Some experts believe this latest tape suggests bin Laden feels under no immediate threat.
<snip>
Publicly, U.S. officials say bin Laden is so deep in hiding he can no longer operate, so killing or capturing him is less important. Privately, they want him badly.

You get that? They are closing in, after all they keep killing no 2.

1. I wouldn't trust a word that creep says
he's been a pure Pentagon flack from day 1, absolutely NEVER saying anything at all that would anger the Rumsfeld acolytes. Its so appropriate that he does his reports in front of the DOD seal - just like the other press secretaries and stooges on the payroll.

5. None of those people who "cover" the WH or DOD
do any real reporting...

All they do is regurgitate what is spoon fed by the WH or DOD....

They aren't journalists....

PR people at best...

2. Such Bullshit!
They have to avoid catching him, otherwise he cannot be used as the bad, ugly ogre to frighten the loose-sphinctered repug masses of asses.
We now know he could have been caught or killed at least a dozen times. 911 could have been easily prevented, but for the need of this unholy junta for a never-ending war.

Forget those r/w paid liars--They are not in the business of peddling real, true information.

3. I love this part of the story the best, let's blame this on the Clenis
"In 2000, when caught on tape in Afghanistan by a CIA Predator drone, the Clinton administration failed to pull the trigger. Then, three months after 9/11, bin Laden was reportedly wounded in the battle of Tora Bora but still managed to escape."

But these corporate media shills never say that the reason bin Laden escaped in December 2001 is that our troops were told to stand down by Bushco and let the Afghans get him. GIVE ME A BREAK!!!

Jim Miklaszewski may you, and all the others of your ilk, rot in hell for your complicity in these lies.

4. Musharraf knows where he is. He gives OBL the bat signal for
little George. Whenever Georgie needs him, Musharraf gives him the bat signal and he makes a shiny new propaganda message for *.

6. How can "local tribesmen" outfox America's billion dollar spy...
system in space. Did we pay for a bunch of electronic JUNK that is just useless high dollar crap? Why is it, that the only people Bush can REALLY spy on is US citizens like John Kerry and Al Gore? Why is it that a cave man is able to totally evade detection, in this modern age of super powerful snooping capabilities? Could it be that Bush does not want to find Osama? That is the ONLY answer I can come up with!

Our manufacturers of these billion dollar spy contraptions, have boasted that they can see things the size of a pack of Camel Lights, from our spy satellites in orbit around the planet, yet we have searched the same small area in the middle east for a man who is almost 7 foot tall, for about 5 years now and we still don't have a freakin' clue where he could be????

Shouldn't we stop spying on Joe Six-pack and expend our super high tech, super high dollar, investigative man hours and billion dollar equipment on the enemy, if we are indeed serious about winning a "WAR ON TERRA"?

NORAD won't work, if it's unplugged...

9. I thought bin Laden was gravely ill
with kidney disease, among other things. Just how do the local tribesmen operate his dialysis machine?

I find it interesting that there was no video tape this time. Perhaps they couldn't find a double for bin Laden that would fool people. (One video tape purportedly of bin Laden showed a man wearing a gold watch and jewelry, which is forbidden to Muslim men-and the person called bin Laden signed something with his right hand and he's left handed when it comes to writing).

10. Could WW-II Have Continued After Hitler's Death?
Not for long.

The lie of the "War on Terror" could not continue a week if the tall one was confirmed dead or in captivity.
