Just What One Earth Did The C-Span Callers Expect Of Mike Wallace? |
|
Edited on Mon Aug-14-06 08:45 PM by ThomWV
Let me get this right, Mike Wallace interviewed the Iranian President. Mr. Wallace wasn't there to have a boxing match with the President, he wasn't there to have a debate with the guy, just to do an interview.
So how come every caller wants to see this as a contest of some sort.
Is there an American left who can ask a question and then just sit down, shut up, and listen for a change? Do we always have to be in charge of everything. does every exchange have to be confrontational? This seems to have been the expectation of every caller but one.

1. Oh, I didn't hear that at all! Almost every caller I heard criticized |
|
for being too confrontational, or talking down to a foreign President.
Did you watch the same callin show that I did?

Regardless....he had the guy in a chair face to face for a solid hour.
Has anyone in our government accomplished as much??????

4. No matter who is interviewed some will find fault. |
|
Too easy.
Too confrontational.
Too something.
At least he got to interview the guy. More that the A-holes in DC can accomplish.

President and others every spoke of him being condescending and abrasive. I am not sure what callers you were listening too, no offense intended.
I burst out in laughter at the one who said (paraphrasing) Can you even imagine our President allowing himself to be interviewed by an Iranian reporter (He can't even handle the American reporters if they ask him meaningful questions, my comment).
You could tell the wing nuts because apparently Iran has a dictatorship, I know it's hard work to remember that Iran has an 'n' at the end of it and Iraq has a "q".

Yes, I have been hearing and reading this a lot lately. Must be one of the mandatory Reich talking points.
I guess it would be too difficult to explain to them that Ah-Jad was elected, and that he has the political power of, say, the Senate Majority Leader in this country.
