Japan halts U.S. Beef imports over Mad Cow concerns....
Of course we get 0 warnings or alerts that our meat may be tainted, yet Japan has once again halted imports from us over concerns of the disease. That'a a cherry thought isn't it?
Prime Minister Junichiro Koizumi said on Friday Japan would halt all imports of U.S. beef after a recent shipment was found to possibly contain material considered at risk for mad cow disease.

Koizumi said he directed the agriculture and health ministers to talk with the U.S. side to put measures into place that would guarantee the safety of the beef sent to Japan.

Mad cow disease is the common name for bovine spongiform encephalopathy, or BSE, a degenerative nerve disease in cattle that is linked to a rare but fatal nerve disorder in humans, variant Creutzfeldt-Jakob Disease

So the Japanese won't eat our meat, how can they have any pudding if they don't eat our meat?

That American citizens do not?

No doubt BushCO has ordered all such information Top Secret Classified for Crony-Eyes Only.

4. I have an idea
Why don't the Japanese buy a couple of cattle farming operations in the US, and a couple of meat packing plants, and then run them? They could make sure the cattle aren't fed with rendered cattle (the prime suspect for the cause of BSE) and make sure the cattle is cut up properly.

Are there laws keeping them from picking the sources for the beef? It seems like they could do better than to rely on the lax US inspection and enforcement of health laws for beef.
