We are almost 94,000 strong and yet only 600, six fucking hundred of us have donated to this haven.

Step up to the plate and donate, right now, right fucking now.

I remember the day I had to beg Skinner to let me in. I lurked here for years and during the 2004 election things got crazy. DU was cut off to everyone who was a lurker or a member who had not supported DU.

Step up.

1. I think you are ignoring the fact that many of us donate on a monthly

basis and we do not show up in the donation chart above. It would be interesting to know just how many of us do have our donation put monthly on our credit cards. Mods, do you know?

I think it will pick up.

If some DUers have a few bucks to spare, maybe they could donate to someone who doesn't have the money to donate right now. That was how I got my first star years ago. However, I would suggest checking previous posts (search) so we don't accidentally donate to some freeper asshole.

I have read over the past fews days, of DU'ers who are not afraid to be able to afford retirement, a DU'er who inherited Millions, DU'er's who get any medical test that they want, DU'er's who never worked for the minumum wage. That is who I am requesting to step up to the plate. You should have never considered yourself. My apologies if I offended you.

6. Some people aren't interested in "gold stars"

... and measuring the length of their ... whatever. Some people make their donations anonymously and not usually during fund drives and some people are unemployed.

The '94,000' figure includes every nuked freeper planted in DU's Boot Hill ... as well as thousands of registrations that've never been used, for one reason or another.
