This guy who confessed to the Ramsey murder *WANTS* to be famous.
After seeing the video of him from Thailand, it's clear that in his sick way he's enjoying the limelight. Regardless of if he did the murder or not, he's getting off on the cameras. The corporate media is going along in their feeding frenzy, hoping for ratings. It's sick.

Let that little girl R.I.P.

Let this guy who just confessed experience the Justice system in it's fullest and pay for his crimes if he's guilty.

Knock off the sensationalist media.

1. Did he also say he met her through the beauty pageants?
Patsy may have even known him, maybe not. a pedophile seeking out little girls in beauty pageants.

4. that's not surprising, considering how they dressed the little girls
I remember at the time of the murder, that it came out that movies of the competitions were being blackmarketed to pedophiles.

2. Do you know how old this guy is? He looked young to me; he
must have been real young 10 years ago. And what was he doing in Bangkok? Preying on kids?

22. Seriously? I think he was. He seems to have worked at making
himself as smooth-skinned and as TINY as a child.

5. My thoughts exactly....He's probably a fraud....
It doesn't suprise me that the idiotic MSM is falling for this....But how could an even half-competent prosecutor be so dumb?

As you say, maybe he is guilty. But he sure seems like a kook who wants to be on TV.

weird self-satisfied smile, and, when asked if he's innocent, said "no."

the dude looks really happy that he got "caught." I would be willing to bet a lot of money that he made this up. his ex-wife says he was in alabama during the murder; he initiated an online correspondence with a Colorado prof who tipped off the cops, and he has been obsessed with the JonBenet case since the outset

11. That prof is rather infamous in some circles, from what I've heard
I'm really wondering if he IS making up a confession -- partially because of the way he acted on TV, partly because of the alibi from his ex wife, and partly because of the Colorado professor I just found out is involved in this. It's just really, really weird. It will be interesting to see what happens with this.

7. He just didn't come forward on his own...
Apparently he knew details about the cawse that only the killer would know..

A law enforcement source, speaking on condition of anonymity, told the AP that Karr had been communicating periodically with somebody in Boulder who had been following the case and cooperating with law enforcement officials.

A University of Colorado spokesman, Barrie Hartman, said journalism professor Michael Tracey communicated with Karr over several months and contacted police. The university spokesman said he didn't know what prompted Tracey to become suspicious of Karr.

Tracey produced a documentary in 2004 called "Who Killed JonBenet?" A woman who answered the phone at a number under his name said he didn't live there anymore; his office phone mailbox was full.

8. Maybe I should clarify what I meant by him "getting off"
I didn't mean receiving absolution, I meant enjoying himself.

I realize my earlier phrasing was open to interpretation, thanks for the PM.

Per the 10+ minute video http://www.cnn.com/2006/LAW/08/17/ramsey.arrest/index.html . That is from the Boulder DA.

He has apparently been obsessed with case for some time. I'd be somewhat wary of his confession if I were law enforcement.

17. None of it is adding up.
The guy was researching a book about Jon Benet, spent a couple of months talking to a professor who was an expert on the case, plus his own wife says he was with her on the night in question.

I'm starting to think he didn't commit the crime at all and what he wants is the limelight in a really bizarre sicko way.

19. Another twist
"BANGKOK, Thailand - The American suspect in the killing of JonBenet Ramsey told investigators that he drugged and had sex with the 6-year-old beauty queen before accidentally killing her, a senior Thai police officer said Thursday.

An autopsy on Ramsey said a blood screening showed no drugs or alcohol in her body but said she had vaginal abrasions.
