Homeland Security allows PRESS CONFERENCE with SUSPECT?!?!
Edited on Thu Aug-17-06 12:28 PM by jackstraw45
Just think about this for a moment...

The Department of Homeland Security allowed/arranged for a murder suspect UNDER THEIR CONTROL to hold a PRESS CONFERFENCE overseas regarding a murder investigation deemed "impossible to prosecute" without a lawyer? I assume this was to ENSURE that headlines for the next 24-48 hours+ would be dominated by this story and hopefully create another Nathalie Halloway/Terri Schiavo months-long media frenzy.

I want to know WHO at the Department of Homeland Security in DC ordered this press conference to be held? And did that person speak to the White House in the past 24 hours?

from http://www.time.com/time/nation/article/0,8599,1228182,00.html

"Later Karr sat silently as U.S. and Thai authorities discussed his case in a press center. The press conference broke up with a photo op of the suspect, who wore a sky-blue polo shirt and beige slacks without a belt.

The press corps had begun to fade away when Karr, in a surprise, sent word that he wanted to speak directly to the media, and he was hustled back into the room...After a few minutes, he glanced upwards at his captors, and they quickly led him away."

How long before this man, obviously mentally ill, dies in an "accident" or "suicide?"

12. I don't understand why Homeland Security is involved. And how
convenient for Bushco to have the nation consumed by this 24/7 keeping the people busy while Britain lets go of the 24 they most likely don't have enough on and what a perfect distraction to Bush's smack down today.

6. Thank you- there were some familiar elements that I wasn't able...
...to place. I was thinking of Oswald too, but I couldn't quite produce the mental image.

11. Also, note the red marks on his neck...cause of sudden confession??
Were DHS/Thai officials officials practicing the art of "choke-hold" questioning?

17. Yes I noticed he looks quite ill.
Wonder if he is HIV positive??

If he has been in the Thai sex market anything is possible.

5. It sure did knock the NSA ruling off the headlines
A federal district court has ruled the NSA wiretaps are unconstitutional, but you'd never know it by turning on the TV. I have the news on and it's wall-to-wall Jon-Benet.

13. Check out this scenario...
The guy basically says that he killed the girl in his press conference. Majority of people believe him.

The guy goes to trial.

Not enough evidence for a conviction.

What is the jury going to do? Would you want to be on the jury when everyone in the world "knows" the guy is guilty and you are going to say he's not? Imagine the harassment from the press, etc. when the trial is over. You'd be a demon.

The guy's guilty now by public expectation, if not for real.

Why aren't our beloved Dem leaders raising holy cane about the involvement of Homeland Security???? HS is becoming our national brown shirts. Is this Karr guy a threat to the whole nation's security or is it because JonBenet was murdered in her home!
