5. The airlines and the Transportation Administration have adopted the |
|
most cruel restroom practices. Once the plane backs away from the terminal passengers are not allowed to leave their seats until the light goes off.
My experience was in Salt Lake City. I asked to use the restroom as the plane backed away. Denied! Then the plane rested while the pilot caught up on some paperwork. Then the plane had to be de-iced. Then we waited in line, only to pull out of line just before takeoff, so the paperwork could be corrected. While that was happening, the attendants dispensed bottles of courtesy water! Once in the air, I agonized until we reached cruising altitude and the seat belt light went off. This was at least 45 minutes after we backed out of the terminal. The cabin staff seemed to delight in my misery. They also threatened to have me arrested if I removed my seatbelt. Needless to say, the passengers allowed me to have access to the rear restroom first.
Now I don't have a disease or disability. So I have to go 100% on the side of the lady. I would imagine that 90% of the traveling public would agree.
There for the grace of God, go I.

Having MS, I have to go constantly. I pee every five minutes at the airport before take-off, it seems. Trying to drain the sucker.
If I even THINK I might have to go in the first half hour, I go as everyone is still getting settled. I never want to have to go through this.

7. In some of the reports.. |
|
it made it sound as if she purposely peed on the floor -- now I am suspecting she had an accident. Postmenopausal women often have incontinence problems. I feel so badly for her.
