"It is no accident that we haven't been hit in more than four years."
No terrorist attack in the US, but Bush/Cheney have still found a way to kill 2,000 Americans. Profit makes great motivation!

12. Yeah, Clinton kept the U.S. far safer and he didn't kill that many of...
our troops, while accomplishing many foreign policy objectives.

Let's face it... 9/11 happened on Bush's watch--therefore, he dropped the ball and he is responsible.

22. Thank you so very much! I use that everytime a freeper pulls that shit
Everytime I hear a freeper say "Bush has kept us safe for 4 years", I point out that Clinton kept us safe for 8. You know how much they love that "Clinton did it" shit.

He's relaxing in his "cave with the door open."

While Bush attacks who he chooses, and it isn't OBL.

3. That's such BS
1st attack on WTC -- 1993
2nd attack -- 2001
next attack should happen in 2009

Besides, why does he have to attack us here when we've been so thoughtful as to send 100,000 American to Iraq?

4. It was easy!
They used to hate us for our freedoms. Now that we're systematically giving them up, why should they bother attacking us.

13. This is so stupid!...
It's like the guy trying to sell you a spray to keep mountain lions off your property.

Guy: "I sold some to your neighbor."

Me: "That's just silly."

Guy: "Seen any mountain lions in your neighbor's yard?"

Me: "No, but..."

Guy: "See, it works!"

Geez Louise!!! :banghead:

20. Exactly, you beat me to it. And Cheney would know that it's 'no accident'
wouldn't he? A survey of NYers a while ago showed that 50% of them now believe that Bush and his crew either MIHOP, or LIHOP.

They can whine all they want, but for eight prosperous years, Clinton kept Bin Laden from attacking us on US soil, until Bush took office, and eight months later, on his lazy, incompetent watch, 9/11 happened!

It was no accident that we were safe for those eight years, and it was no accident that we were attacked as soon as Bush took office and ignored all warnings of a possible, actually, a probable attack on US soil. We need proper hearings to find out why that happened.

In August and September of last year, once again, this criminal administration allowed thousands more Americans to die without lifting a finger to help them. Again, they and their friends moved in like vultures to profit from yet another disaster that occurred, without a single effort to prevent it, on their watch. Imo, that too was 'no accident'. And in the opinion of 98% of the black community, and a large % of the rest of the country.

Just a note of interest! Right after dispensing no-bid contracts to Bush's cronies to 'rebuild' NO after Hurricane Katrina, Director of Procurements, David Safavian, WH official, was arrested and charged for his part in the worst corruption case in US history. However, nothing was done by this administration to look into the no-bid contracts he oversaw. His role was all but overlooked by the MSM, and certainly not a single question was raised about his 'judgement' regarding those contracts.

Bush himself, to ensure maximum profit for his buddies who were the beneficiaries of Safavian's largesse, rescinded the Davis Bacon Act. He was a busy little bee during the period when his fellow citizens were dying in NO 'that part of the world', as he called it, but sadly, not where it might have counted to the now lost Katrina victims.

But in Bush world, that all worked out as planned. Even down to giving his funeral director friends the job of not finding too many bodies. We can't have any tragedy outdo 9/11. He's still eeking out all the emotional capital he can from that ~ although it's beginning to wear a bit thin, to say the least.

15. Maybe it isn't 'an accident' after all ....... ?
"It is no accident that we haven't been hit in more than four years." And could that be because the administration needed a bit more time to get ready to invade iran? I'm just asking? Peace. :)

19. Why hit someone who's already defeated?
Al-queda has scored just about everything it wanted.

We are bankrupting ourselves to fight it.

It has shown our military to be helpless against determined resistance.

It has displayed, for the world to see, that the "peaceloving" USA is a myth.

It has made most of the ME a "no go zone" for Americans.

It has made us the pariahs of the world.

It has beefed up it's own ranks, and standing, in the Arab world.

It has caused us to forfeit our own freedoms in the name of "security".

We are now exposed as murderers and torturers.

The American citizenry is now fighting (rightfully) among themselves over the issue of Iraq.

What need for another attack?
