No "gel bras" for women. What about breast implants? |
|
How are they going to check implants for explosives? Semi serious question http://blogs.abcnews.com/theblotter/2006/08/authorities_war.html

6. Who cares? Bras are meant to be worn to give a woman support |
|
I don't give a crap about inflating my chest unaturaly anyway... If anything I would get a reduction. Let me just tell you, large breasts are heavy and do nothing for your back. Men need to get over the infatuation with a milk machine and women need to get over living with what they got.

that have gel in the straps so there is added padding for large chested women who tend to have more pull on their straps than others. The gel doesn't add to your chest unless there is another kind of gel bra also.
If you're big enough to need one of those bras there might be more of a danger trying to walk onto the plane without a bra than if the thing exploded anyway.

Men need to get over the infatuation with a milk machine and women need to get over living with what they got. Who puts that stuff in bras? Men or women? As a man I could care less about how big a womans breast is but it seems women sure care.

This particular man has understood what being a mammal means for quite some time, thanks. Whatever "infatuation" I've had for breasts ceased when I had teeth and started eating solid foods. Don't get me wrong. I certainly appreciate the healthy female anatomy ... and feel a "warm fuzzy" when I see a mother nursing her infant. But I do NOT infantilize myself, thanks.
On the other hand ... the sight of Jessica Alba's tush in a bathing suit - wow!

The terraist sneaks into the bathroom, performs major surgery on her chest, mixes the two gels, one from each excised breast implant, into a volatile explosive, returns to her seat and proceeds to blow the plane up using her wristwatch battery as a detonator. With a few practices I'm sure anyone could learn to perform this simple procedure.

the terraist (who's going to die anyway) gets breast implants filled with live explosive (no mixing necessary).

31. I'm just wondering why exactly |
|
with all of these determined airplane bombers out there willing to have explosives implanted in their bodies we have had exactly zero actual viable attempts (I dismiss the ridiculous shoe bomber) to blow up airplanes. Your risk of being killed by lightening is vastly greater than the, it seems, vanishingly small risk that human bombs represent to airflight.
You want to live in a constant state of fear and panic, be my guest, but I suggest that you go get some happy pills and get over it.

Richard Reid was within seconds of bringing that jet down, by all accounts. What would be ridiculous is the big stain in your pants if you were one of the passengers getting off that plane...
A reasonable foreign policy is all we can do to stop them, and it's a little too late for that. I'm not afraid--I'm also not naive.

18. YOU control the scope of a bodily search |
|
Something to remember! If airport security asks you if they can search your person, ask WHERE. They have to tell you where they intend to search you, and you can consent or not. If you don't consent and they want to search you anyway, they must turn you over to law enforcement who must have probable cause. You can definitely limit the scope of the search, by telling the security screener you'll consent to a search of _______________ (fill in the blank) ONLY. Ladies, you can stop the screeners from feeling you up, and men, you can keep them from squeezing your goods.
Of course, if you prefer that kind of attention, knock yourself out!
Peace,
RV

37. Usually silicone rubber, not gel |
|
Most prostheses are made from more light-weight materials, but some are made of silicone rubber, not usually silicone gel.
When you have to wear them all day, every day, they have to be lightweight and easy to maintain.
Let's hope they don't make a big deal over silicone rubber, too.

The "plotters" this time were plotting liquid/gel explosives, and now we can't have liquids or gels.
So once a terrorist has something in a "body cavity," what will security checks become?
