Amazing Homophobia in Today's rural Red Missouri Paper
The Globe ran an oped in today's paper written by Morris Gerken that is one of the most blatant examples of homophobia that I think I have ever read.

"Trying to label such a choice as 'marriage,' is a little like trying to label a horse and chicken as the same farm animal."

In other words, gays are not able to have relationships like the rest of humanity, you know, like us heterosexuals who divorce each other about 50% of the time. Amazing statement! False and prejudiced, but amazing.

2. SW Mo, that's not suprising at all
I know that there are many fine Democrats and liberals that live in SW Mo, but the vast majority of people down in that neck of the woods are ignorant, bigoted, religiously insane sheep who are more than willing to kill you unless you look and act just exactly like them. And that's a real shame too, for SW Mo is absolutely, stunningly beautiful country, but there's no way in hell I could live down there.

3. Isn't it great that
Jerken gerken is free to express his opinion in the land of the free. Unless of course you are in that group of citizens who can't get married or can't join the military because people hate intensely in the name of Jesus Christ (founders intentions?) I wonder if jerken gerken is terribly concerned that these folks who do not share in the equal protection clause still pay taxes to make sure he remains comfortable in his freedom. Surely as a proud American he can see the evil in this arrangement. Surely!
