Lieberman vs. "Cindy Sheehan" Dems?
Edited on Fri Aug-18-06 09:34 AM by BurtWorm

This ad, being run around the country by the Republican Jewish Committee, clearly refers to Cindy Sheehan as a "leading Democratic activist." That's like referring to Susan Sarandon as a "Democratic actress." Sheehan may not even be a Democrat, for all I know, but it's at least clear that she doesn't base her activism on advancing the Democratic Party agenda (whatever that is), and is frequently hostile to it (when it cowers to the Bushist agenda).

1. I find that ad offensive and terribly incorrect.
Blatantly using the Israel card to bash Democrats, painting the entire party as anti-Israel. That's NOT what his loss was about, and they know it. Damn that pisses me off! :grr:

About the Sheehan comment; Sheehan isn't a political figure and has never pledged allegiance to the Democratic Party. Fuck them.

4. Give Lieberman time - he will catch up to himself
The war in Iraq ain't going anywhere - and his eager support for that won't change. And the kiss is still a kiss.

And the polls as they did in the primary showed Lieberman with a big lead and then with less of a lead and so on.

3. OMG!
Ths is ridiculous. He has learned well and bought into the snakeoil selling, republican tricks. I can't abide neocons and Joe has certainly shown his neocon underbelly.

No one that I know is anti-Israel. May Israel be blessed *%&^%(* Joe Leiberman. I am sick of this!

5. What's this 'friends' stuff?
I never understood that. It sounds utterly childish. People have friends, nations have allies. If Lieberman had Israeli friends, OK. If Lieberman thought the US an ally of Israel, OK. But the 'friends' concept is reserved for relationship between people, nations have allies based on mutual interest.

6. LieBerman Supports the pResident's Issues More than Republicans Do!
Joe Lieberman supports the President on all issues going even furthur than most any Republican outside of Karl Rove!He wanted to sell our Port Security to Dubai. UAE refuse to acknowledge Israel's right to exist while being one of the few countries to recognize Afghanistan under the Taliban http://www.crooksandliars.com/posts/2006/03/12/joe-lieberman-channels-karl-rove-in-his-praise-for-the-ports-deal
