Just saw this on local news. First I've heard of it. This is not anything like him at all and I'm inclined to believe his statement that his comments were misinterpreted. What is this all about? Anyone know?
BTW - IMHO, while I think the comments given are factually accurate, I can't see this coming out of Andy Young's mouth in the manner that it's being reported.

Young said Friday he was stepping down from his job providing public relations help for Wal-Mart Stores Inc. The move came amid criticism for remarks published Thursday in the weekly Los Angeles Sentinel, which asked Taylor whether he was concerned Wal-Mart causes smaller, mom-and-pop stores to close.
"Well, I think they should; they ran the `mom and pop' stores out of my neighborhood," the paper quoted Young as saying. "But you see, those are the people who have been overcharging us, selling us stale bread and bad meat and wilted vegetables. And they sold out and moved to Florida. I think they've ripped off our communities enough. First it was Jews, then it was Koreans and now it's Arabs; very few black people own these stores."
A call placed to Young's Atlanta office was not immediately returned Friday. He has said his comments were misinterpreted.
