Instead of waiting for our 'leaders' to act, I wish WE could take charge. |
|
I mean, I may die of old age before I see somebody with guts stand up and say what needs to be said and do what needs to be done before its too late.
All I see is 98% butt kissers and guys too nervous to make waves for fear of not getting re-elected to their cushy, phony baloney overpaid jobs.
Its our fucking country, and just a tiny handful of assholes is fucking it all up excuse my fucking French.
I'm not even talking about taking to the streets whatever the hell that is, I'm talking about somebody, anybody finally standing up and taking charge.
To me it looks like nobody is even trying, except for a tiny few who are hardly noticed through all the bullshit and noise.
What is preventing it? Are we afraid to take charge or demand that our leaders take charge? Is it too complicated for us to understand, is it over our heads? Is it too much trouble? What the hell?
Its our damned nation, WE run it, WE sweat for it, WE suffer in it and die for it, WE built it and WE maintain it, and we hire people to keep it running properly and we pay them way too fucking much for the shitty ass job they're doing.
I'm too stupid to figure it all out, that's why I vote for these fuckers, and as it turns out, they are apparently ten times stupider than me. That ain't right, I want highly qualified and effective people running MY government thank you very fucking much.

1. Well then we have to take it back in November |
|
and replace the Lieberman's and the Republicans with people who truely want to fix the things that * has broken....
We the people....
"Remember, Remember the 5th of November" "V" for Vendetta
Get out and get people to vote.
We the people can bring this country to a standstill if we wanted too....it is afterall a government of the people for the people!

2. as swami beyondananda says,"WE are the ones we have been waiting for" |
|
from sonia johnson in "going out of our minds: the metaphysics of liberation" (when she was considering running for the presidency in 1984:
"We are taught to believe that THAT job is absolutely fraught with complexity; that matters of state are so perilous that only the most astute minds should be allowed near them; that it takes a special kind of genius even to be able to begin to grapple with statecraft, maybe a political genius born only once in a generation. The truth is that if even Ronald Reagan--and most of his predecessors--can even go through the MOTIONS of being President, it HAS to be a simple job" (p208)
and to think, she wrote THIS comment before we had ever heard of the incompetent buffoon currently soiling the people's house.

Everytime I start to get excited about a candidate, they do something soooo stupid! They sit back and take all the bs the repubs can give. They don`t want to appear unpatriotic, ya know. So they just keep on keeping on, hoping they might win by default. We NEED an honest to God hero and unfortunately I don`t see any so far.
