'Misunderestimating' Bush's Iraq...

DAMASCUS - This summer former US ambassador Peter Galbraith released a groundbreaking book called The End of Iraq: How American Incompetence Created a War Without End. One of the most interesting facts presented by Galbraith was that two months before the US invasion of Iraq in 2003, President George W Bush was unaware that there were two branches of Islam (Sunni and Shi'ite). Bush once also famously said, "They are misunderestimating me."

1. That is an EXCELLENT article and goes a long way towards explaining

why the situation in Iraq is the way it is today. Except for one thing. It says the problem was bush**s lack of understanding that there are two Islamic sects, Shi'ite and Sunni. It just might be me, but I think the problem was the invasion in the first place.

And the article lays all the blame on bush**. I don't think he deserves all the blame (credit). I think he's a pathetic failure of a man who found his fame and fortune when he teamed up with a bunch of thugs. They pull his strings and he gets the credit/blame. They get the power and riches, he gets a boost to his ego.
