Lieberman is not an "independent"
He is, for all intents and purposes, the Republican candidate. He is endorsed and supported by more Republicans than Schlesinger.

Ned should hammer the point home that he is actually running against two Republican Candidates.

1. He is not even a "Republican" He is a neocon, pure and simple.
They have no party affiliation that matters. Only their agenda matters.

3. Until Republicans of conscience
Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 09:12 AM by POAS
begin seperating themselves from the neo-con movement I will continue to view them as one in the same. If Republican voters cast out the neo-cons in their midst (assuming they are allowed to) then I will start identifying them as seperate entities.

4. He's a D.I.N.O. who lost.
He's Zell Miller...only difference being he hasn't challenged anyone to a duel yet.

5. Thanks for framing it so succinctly.
If elected, he will also owe the Republicans big time and will be even more in the administration's pocket than ever before. I would not be surprised if he even formally changed his affiliation to the Repub. party if elected, which could be a crucial part of their plan to keep control of the senate. Thanks for continuing to hammer home just how suspicious the widespread Republican support for this guy really is.

6. "I will not let this stand"- from Gracious Joe's concession speech
He should have just filed an appeal with the Supreme Court to have the election results voided. Scalia, Scalito, Thomas, Roberts and Kennedy would have prevented voters from doing "irreparable harm" to his Senate career.

7. Will this be his credo if he loses in November?
If so, would he try the SCOTUS route?

8. The Daily Show nailed it the other night: If Joe loses, he will
start his own Senate.
