a form of government that people would reject and took the message as a warning. Little did I believe that people would actually come to EMBRACE that form of government until election 2000 and all that took place afterward. It is really scary thinking about what humans are capable of being led to. The greatest nation on earth has fallen into the trap of very heady fascism...or maybe not the "greatest nation on earth" but the "wealthiest nation on earth."

2. Not the wealthiest nation for much longer
Along with the other implications, the current poilitical leadership has succerssfully manipulated Americans into GIVING UP the wealth of the US.

It's been funneled from the former diretion of enlarging the middle class -- and thus the nation's overall standard of living -- into the totally non-national poiol of elite global capital.

Pretty soon the US will have descended into the status of a very polarized Third World economy.

And yet Americans continue to support -- or ignore -- this crap. It is discouraging.

3. It CAN happen here, and indeed it HAS happened here

One party control of the legislature, executive, courts and obviously the military. Thats TOTAL control. The Republicans' Contract on America brought the nation to the gate of totalitatianism and then they stood behind us shouting "Terror!" in order to panic the nation into the cage.

Now we climb the long ramp to the killing room, where we don't even get blessed before our throats are slit and our Constitutional rights are spilled on the floor.

5. The left took 1984 as a warning
the right took it as a training manual. It's not hard to see who's won.

6. Strange "New World Order" we got here...
Chinese slave labor supplying the goods to a propaganda fed US public which supplies the troops to occupy the world's oil needed by the Chinese government.

Wonder how long that arrangement will stand?
