1. You need a photo hosting site like photobucket.com |
|
Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 11:58 AM by A HERETIC I AM
for personal photos. Upload them from your computer to the site, the post the url for the photo in the body of the message.
For a photo on the web, hover your mouse and right click, then choose "properties". Highlite the url (It will end in .jpg or .bmp or .gif or similar) copy then paste it to the body of the message.
i hope that is clear.

8. You don't need that on DU |
|
The DU website software automatically detects image url's and generates html code to display the image in the post.

4. Or if it's a photo that's already elsewhere on the web... |
|
You right-click on it, select "copy image location", then paste that address into a post; the DU server automatically displays the photo (usually).

6. tinypic.com is easy to use |
|
Edited on Sat Aug-19-06 02:02 PM by bananas
no registration or anything required, just go to www.tinypic.com and upload your pic, then copy the url it gives you into your post. One nice feature of tinypic.com is that if the image is over 250k, it will be resized smaller, which is great for DU because a lot of people are on dial-up and using older computers, large images cause problems for them.

9. Never heard of them before but here is an idea |
|
How about we all write political messages and take pics of them and upload them? Kind of like the I'm sorry site.
