I'm a little long in the tooth, but I can sure drink a lot of wine. I was in France last summer, and loved it.

7. My daughter and I bicycled in the Loire River Valley in '98

and went to Paris for a few days to visit the galleries. The French were Very Nice! We were by ourselves, not in a tour group, so we had to interact with them. The French live beter than we do, slower, closer socially to one another, less hysteria about the latest fad. They also eat better; even their "quick shop" food was fresh and delicious. And the Loire River Valley is so beautiful, you can hardly believe it IS real.

If more Americans knew what Europe is like personally, they'd have more questions about how we live here.
