Question about posting links?
If a thread is locked because it contained a link to a news source that someone feels isn't reliable enough and/or they feel this news source may have posted something in the past that they feel might be guilty of bigotry.

Should that be a standard applied equally across the board with all links to News sources? And if that be yes. Then why are links to FOX News not locked after that news source's history of deceptive and unreliable news reporting in addition to them airing bigotry such as in this example?

Also, shouldn't that same standard be applied to obvious race baiting threads such as this one which stayed on the first page for days and still isn't locked to this day?

Anyway, I am just wondering..

1. Links to the Fox News website are often to Associated Press stories,
...not original reporting by Fox News.

5. Perhaps
But we're not talking about the AP. We're talking about links to a news organization (FOX) with a history of deceptive and unreliability as well as examples of bigotry.

Maybe its ok to continue to post links to their websites because their bigotry was directed at people with brown skin?

2. You need to email the DU admin with these questions, per DU rules.
And if you have problems with another thread,
hit the 'alert' button; that's why it's there.

3. I'm unaware of the standards the moderators use . . .
To lock threads based on the reliability of the sources to which they link.

Anyone care to expand/explain?
