Barbara Bush upset about Houston crime; hairdresser cannot go out at night
Crime may not have been on the official agenda at this week's Houston West Chamber of Commerce luncheon, but it seemed to be on everyone's mind.

"This concerns all of us, especially when I've had my own businesses broken into," said chamber president Jeannie M. Bollinger.

And when Bollinger asked Jim "Mattress Mack" McIngvale to discuss the issue, McIngvale recalled that the subject came up at an Astros game while he was talking to former President Bush and his wife. Barbara Bush, he said, asked: "What are they going to do about Westside?" Her hairdresser, McIngvale said, is afraid to go out at night.

"When the first lady says something about it, we got a problem," McIngvale said.

1. Time for Babs to find a higher class hairdresser.
One who lives in a safer neighborhood so she won't have to worry her beautiful mind about it.

2. My gods...
What are the statistics...the just plain ordinary people mugged, raped, robbed, burgled and it barely makes the papers unless the town is small enough or the crime is heinous and bloody enough...same with the media.
But someone in Dragon-bitch's circle (no way is she a lady) might possibly be inconvenienced...When the first lady says something about it, we got a problem," McIngvale said.

4. She should know. Her husband is head of Crime Inc.
George Herbert Walker Bush told the FBI within MINUTES of President Kennedy's assassination that he heard someone threaten to kill the President. So why did Bush wait till AFTER the fact?

SOURCE with lots more info, including Nov. 27, 1963 FBI debriefing of Mr. George Bush of the Central Intelligence Agency.

13. That's what is happening
That's what this is all about, crime is rising in Houston and they're blaming Katrina survivors. Never mind that crime is raising all across the country, just like it does every single time these assholes get into office and start cutting cops and social programs.

17. Check out some of the archives on AMERICAblog if'n you want crime...
http://www.americablog.org/

John has some pretty damn frightening stats, not to mention personal experiences coming out of Washington D.C.
Apparently it's pretty hush-hush though...until one steps in it.

10. OMG - Snakes in her hair!
Probably no crime til those people from New Orleans came in.
May she could go to Iraq. Steve King (R-Iowa) says there is less crime there than in DC. Babs would fit right in!
