Candidates using their families in commercials |

Edited on Sun Aug-20-06 10:21 AM by undeterred
Its that time of year when we start seeing commercials for candidates which invariably include references to family. I have mixed feelings about this, but I know it seems to work.
Honestly, does it matter whether someone has children or not to hold elected office?
Does it matter if they have a heterosexual partner or a homosexual partner?
Does it matter if they are living together or married?
Are they a lousy candidate if they are single or divorced?
Doesn't the expectation that a candidate have a heterosexual child-producing marriage put a lot of really good candidates at a disadvantage?

Put their entire family on their signs. That is incredibly cheesy to me. It's exploiting your kids IMO.
