Politicians that think they should be rewarded for their blunders... |

The first two that come to mind are Joe Lieberman and John McCain. As if good judgement should not be a criteria to holding public office and the public trust. Both were on TV this morning still making excuses for the disaster in Iraq. They cannot admit they screwed up - no matter how many people have to die to save their sorry political fortunes. There was a time when I respected both of them. No more.
Americans are generally forgiving if people, including Senators, are willing to admit their mistakes and move forward. However, those that continue to cling to a disastrous and murderous policy deserve no sympathy. Unfortunately, McCain is not running for re-election this fall. He could make a good drinking buddy for Lieberman.
