November elections: OUR VOTE FOR FREEDOM, Purple fingers
Are needed on Tuesday November 7th.

Do you think we can organize a nationwide purple finger campaign?

I am all for it...

1. Why?
Of all the things to organize what would this accomplish that is more important?

3. It would communicate our message that we worked to FREE ourselves
from evil...etc.

4. what?
I think that would be the reaction of most people...wtf? Shouldn't we be busy making sure our candidates win rather than putting a huge amount of effort into symbolic gestures?

5. What makes you think we would dip our fingers in it before the elections
Edited on Sun Aug-20-06 12:46 PM by Nimrod2005
we would have voted silly, our work would have been completed (so to speak)...

6. Its also the symbol conservatives used to justify the Iraq War
so its a mixed message at best.
Time spent getting ink to every polling place is time not spent getting voters to every polling place.

7. The Iraqis got purple fingers when they got their "freedom" from George
I don't know if this is such a great idea. I don't want no freedom like the Iraqis got at the business end of a gun. Doesn't sound very democratic. I think Putin was right on this one.

8. I'll have to consider that...
at first I was all for it. After all, it was used in Irag's election. However, as I was posting, it dawned on me...do I really want my fingerprint on a document that our fascist "leaders" have access to?

I'm not so sure.

But, that aside, I'm in favor of anything that will validate an election fairly. Obviously, I'm not talking Diebold either.

14. The ink-dipped finger is a symbol of FRAUDULENT DEMOCRACY
We have enough Pentagon psy-ops campaigns going on now, don't we?

15. I was going to suggest orange stocking caps
There are tons of them left over after the "Orange Revolution" that can be had real cheap I betcha.

Another Bush failure. All the Ukrainians got out of that Bush backed revolution was higher energy bills.
