RE: Wear Black on August 29th, the day Katrina hit Louisiana!
To all my fellow citizens in Louisiana and those elsewhere who
have compassion for what happened to our state,Louisiana,
please wear black on the 29th as a show of mourning for all
those who died, for surviving families and friends, for all
those who lost their homes or had injury to their homes, and
for those lost pets to this terrible storm.

Those not from Louisiana, please do not forget us.

1. Another suggestion...
...since wearing black in the Deep South at this time of year is an invitation for heat stroke, I would recommend black armbands. They stand out even more and invariably provoke inquiries from others whereas black clothes might appear as merely a fashion choice.

I've worn one on Columbus Day before, so I will certainly wear one next week.

3. I like the black armbands and
I like the roof-squating idea too. A very strong symbolic statement.

4. Ok with me. Most of my black is sleeveless so I was not thinking
in terms other than that, but you all make sense. I just wish the whole city and burbs that were affected could make some kind of statement that the national media would pick up.
If the >>>> rePIGs can't handle Katrina, they can't handle any large scale disaster and thats the truth.
