ABC sanitizes Spike Lee

Spike Lee was interviewed on This Week about his new Katrina documentary. The portion that aired on TV stripped out all of Lee's critical comments towards the Bush administration. Check out both versions and see how ABC sanitized Lee.

I'm really looking forward to seeing Lee's documentary, but I don't have cable anymore. I used to be able to afford cable. Now I just buy extra gas with that money for my little sedan.

13. I watched the full video of Spike Lee, and it is amazing.

He talks about Bush flying over NO and not having his boots-cowboys boots- on the ground until
12 days after the hurricane- too little, too late. Mr. Lee is clearly making an effort to contain his bitterness and anger, but
he does and thus makes a masterful case for the travesty that occurred. I plan to watch the documentary, but I know it will be painful. Spike Lee
is a brilliant voice. I wish the whole interview could have been seen, but hopefully the small clip will result in more viewers for the documentary . It is good that this program will be shown on HBO (not network)- Mr. Lee was likely given full control over the contents.
