Is the new OBL tape a fake?

Let's just cut to the chase. What do you think of the new tape?

1. Just like the last tape that surfaced, people will prove it's a fake.

I'm betting that Karl Rove is behind it, and Osama bin Laden is a really convincing character actor.

One scholar from Rice University says last night on Lehrer that it was translated from English. Another from Duke says it's missing several key bin Laden signatures (such as quotes from the Quran). The only ones who seem sure it's bin Laden are the CIA. Seems kind of weird to me.

i think someone (cia, fbi, dia, nsa etc etc...) just broke out an obl remix.

cia comes out and says "yup its obls **voice**" and so maybe it is but not new and the words not in the order he said them.

The furtive letters between insurgents and UBL.

23. The more I read the transcript and hear what the "experts" are saying

this tape does not appear to be legitimate. Some are even suggesting it was written in ENGLISH first and then TRANSLATED to Arabic. THAT doesn't seem even REMOTELY the modus operandi of OBL/UBL.

Strange. Strange. I never would have thought a CNN interview and several others might intimate that this tape was not legit. That would just lend too much credence to all those conspiracy theorists out there.

BushCo needed a change of subject. They got one. Then they sent out Rove to give a speech about how much good this administration has done with the economy and the war on terror and how "horrible" it is for people to call his WARRANTLESS spying illegal and that calls for his removal are just desperate attempts of the Dem's to regain control.

There seems to be a little fear showing through that blustery exterior they have shown for so long. I see a desperate attempt by the BFEE to hold on to their power and I think the wind is going out of their sails.
