He would not have bought in to the Bush bs. Even now I stand amazed at how much and how often our leaders have bought the Bush talking points. I wonder how much of the rollover effect is due to the wiretaps.

None of the frauds perpetrated on this country (stolen elections, 9/11, Iraq) would have been possible without the willing assistance of the 21st century Pravda mediawhores. :grr:

When the freedom of the press is willfully given up for monetary gain the freedom of the people follows.

6. Nothing. We're roughly the same as we were before those two |
|
9/11 and the aftermath of Katrina are just symptoms of long-lasting problems in our Republic.
The corruption and graft overtaking the US is rivaling Rome. When this Republic finally falls, it will fall not because it was attacked from the outside but because it imploded from the inside-out because the leaders who run the empire ran it for their own gain and not for the welfare of the common people.

...out two full terms. Reagan's agenda fostered the rise of the extreme right wing and Christian fascist elements that we now see at every level of public power in this country.

from the Military Industrial Complex (or whatever you want to call it).
That's why few care when elections are stolen or when Katrina victims are left to die in front of a TV camera.

I would have to vote for the invasion of Iraq.
On Edit: 911 is a blip. I think the country is returning to normality despite the constant fearmongering.

18. I'd Say 9/11 Without A Doubt. I Can't Think Of Anything That Has |
|
so profoundly affected more people so deeply. No matter the truth behind it, the fact is the majority of americans will carry that day with them for the rest of their lives. To this day whenever I see a plane flying low in the sky, my brain warps to horrible images of picturing the plane if it was about to fly into a building.
Whether shrubby has used 9/11 as a propaganda tool in every way possible shouldn't change the fact that it was still a tremendously impactful event on almost every single American.
9/11 get my vote hands down on this one, though the stolen election (both) have had profound impacts as well and probably moreso in a global sense.

I've had many tragic events in my life. And I have to say that this is in the top five of the most heartbreaking events for me. The ramifications of Bush being installed over Gore are simply massive beyond description.
