Bush, Cheney in deep funk after Israel war performance

Hezbollah supporters wave Hezbollah flags during the funeral procession of Kassim Ali Garib, Hassan Ali Garib and Haisan Ali Garib, three Hezbollah fighters, in the village of Naqoura in southern Lebanon on Aug. 20, after they were killed in the recent conflict with Israel. President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney have been extremely disappointed by Israel's failure to defeat Hezbollah.

Government sources said the Israeli failure has led to deep pessimism within the National Security Council and Pentagon regarding U.S. goals in the Middle East, particularly the effort to

stop Iran's advance in Iraq and toward nuclear weapons. The sources said the Israeli experience has been used by the Pentagon to explain the U.S. difficulty in halting the deterioration of order in Iraq.

"There's a lot of doom and gloom in the White House over the U.S. future in the Middle East," a source said. "Everybody feels there's been a significant strategic shift in favor of the bad guys.

4. Extremely disappointed!
Too bad about all those dead Lebanese, isn't it? Or, collateral damage, that is.

5. You fucking twits
Using a huge army to defeat a band of terrorists is like trying to kill ants with a hammer.

Bad rap for 4-year-olds
I've yet to find a form of life despicable enough to describe this bunch.

7. "Deep funk" eh?
Does this mean we're one step closer to the impending * crack-up on live TV? Monday's press conference was a real teaser for meltdown fans. A couple of times I thought he was ready to blow and he almost did but I guess we'll have to wait. If only those candy ass reporters would ask some real questions.

9. Insight magazine has become the new Capitol Hill Blue.
A dispenser of gossip that may or may not actually be "insider." I'd love to believe a lot of what they dispense, but I take it with a grain of salt.

13. The world can't tell the bad guys from the bad guys in the problem
When you murder and torture and plunder like Saddam did, how can you expect anyone to decide who the real bad guys are?

14. Rah, Rah, REEEE -- KICK 'Em In The Knee
Rah, Rah, Rass -- KICK 'em in the other KNEEEE! Or as we used to say... KICK 'em in the ASS!!

These evil idiots need to ne slapped up side the head with a brick or something! I'm soooooooo sick of their policies I've seriously considered moving to Costa Rica!!

Just need to sell my 5 acres of land in North Port, FL and I'll be set. I even talked to our broker about withdrawing money from our IRA to invest in land down there! But the taxes that need to be paid here would be a little too expensive, so I guess we'll just have to wait!

While I may not be a native American... we do have "some" native blood in our family, it pains me to think that I would want to flee this country. However, this is a country I don't recognize much anymore. As a "boomer" I always felt the COMMON man could stand up to it's Government and demand changes, but now I feel it's almost impossible.

MAYBE, Democrats will win in November, I'M NOT HOLDING MY BREATH because of so much fraud, but am willing to wait and see. I myself actually "fear" Gerrymandering and E-Voting machines much more and have come to believe "hope" is nothing but a four letter word! Last night on Lou Dobbs they talked about Pinellas County, FL and the problems they had with their E-voting machines. I live just south of there and we don't even have paper ballots here. I worked trying to get petitions signed for paper ballots here in Sarasota County and I think we got enough signatures to present to the Commissioners, but that won't do ANYTHING for the primaries and elections coming up!

I have long wondered just WHY Cruella Harris is staying in the race when she's so far down in the polls... this witch who Royally screwed America back in 2000! I'm no Nelson fan but have no choice but to vote for him, but I really wonder just WHAT he might do if something "funny" happened and SHE actually won!! Stranger things have happened!

Sorry to be so negative before noon, but I've gotten my hopes up far too many times in the past 6 years to BELIEVE anything until it's a DONE DEAL!! A case in point The Lie-Lieberman Primary! He doesn't get elected, but NOW they say he will???? What a mess!!!

Go NED!!

16. It really hurt their plan to draw Iran and Suria into the game.
Now they have to carry on with the lies about Iran and nukes and Syria financing all the terrorists that we don't finance.

Poor Babies! They wanted to be the baddest boyz on the block!

17. I suggested that the whole Lebanon adventure was to kill the missiles...
that threatened retaliation if Iran was attacked. I was pooh-poohed, but then Sy Hersh published an article saying the same thing, only much better and with sources.

Israel just advised it's citizens to get prepared. Looks like they're thinking about going ahead anyway.
