Are Other Dems Concerned About Influx of K-Street $ to Dems on Hill?
We need Dems to retake the House and Senate, and then the WH, but I am concerned that as K-Street realizes there is going to be a change in majority control they are busy at work to direct their contributions to flagbearers on "the other side" to cover them once Repubs are kicked out of power.

Dems need to be different from Repubs and not beholden to these corrupt interests, if they are going to change things for the better once in control.

1. I'm glad to see it
What we need is public financing of campaigns and the elimination of donating money to congress critters. But until we have that, I want our team to do well on the field we have to fight on.

2. I think we need to Identify and Vote OUT in the next Democratic ...
Primary - ALL those who are dipping into the K-street till.

Do not forget fellow Americans, THEY (Our Democratic Representatives) work for US (Their Constituents). If they know that there will be consequences (you LOSE and no longer serve The People) for acting on behalf of large Corporate Donors over their constituents, only then will they do THE HONORABLE THING. It's the ole' checks and balances in action. We must pay attention and inform others. ;)

4. This is the system.
If we want to win, we have to work within the system.

Unfortunately, there is literally no solution to this problem unless we move to fully-federally funded elections. I, of course, am fully in favor of that, but it's not going to happen.

5. We need to change the system. The system is the problem.

The system will not change itself, it will seek to preserve itself. WE must change it.

6. Good news and bad news.
The good news is that the kleptocracy is hedging its bets. The bad news is that the klpetocracy will remain firmly entrenched even if we take back congress.

8. Our bribetakers are "not as bad" as their bribetakers.
Isn't that the usual theme of the DLC apologists?

10. My Concern Is That Dems Not Sell Their Souls to K-Street to Win....
Until there is real campaign finance reform, money is the coin of the realm among politicians of every persuasion. However, there is this opportunity to draw a stark contrast between what Repubs believe and do and what Dems believe and will do. If we let the corporation interests "buy" influence with campaign contributions by switching sides, we will lose this opportunity and further reinforce the misconception that there is no real difference between Dems and Repubs, which will play itself out in future elections AFTER Dems regain a majority.
