1. I have Feared For The Nation Since He Stole The First Election |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 11:37 AM by ThomWV
I feared more when he stole the second election. I have never felt safe as long as I knew he was in Government. Not since Clinton has this nation been secure - not from outside aggression but from internal corruption.

9. I believe the biblical "fear" is a mis-translation of respect. |
|
I could be wrong since it has happen once or twice, but I remember one of the Jezzies talking about that in a class many years ago.

5. Define secure and safe. |
|
I do not feel personally threatened by a terrorist attack. I am feeling insecure about the future of our planet's health and our civil liberties.

12. Are you aware that we have a tradition, pre-independence, of marching on |
|
and evicting ruling courts and "governors" when they became blatantly corrupt, or defied the will of The People? I think it is high time we resurrect the "Spirit of '76" that founded this country. :patriot:

14. "There is no safety in the cosmos." - Alan Watts |

I feel a helluva lot more in danger from some idiot wheeling an SUV in a parking lot while yakking on a cell phone and adjusting his radio than from "terrorists" or any of the other bogeymen the politicians erect to keep us in line.
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.” H.L. Mencken
