The Chimp is Martin Short on SNL
Remember the character Martin Short did on SNL as the paranoid business man caught out by a Mike Wallace-type? Chain smoking, sweating and darting his eyes around, the character was paranoid, defensive, hostile and condescending as he lashed out in response to the interview questions like: "I know THAT! It's so funny you would think I didn't know that!!" or "What makes you THINK I don't KNOW that? That's so funny."

As I've listened to clips of The Chimperor's speeches and off the cuff statements of the past few days, he reminds me so much of this guy (only Bush is dumber). He whines when he talks, he's defensive and pissy when someone dares to ask a question, and as always he acts like the reporters and the audience at home couldn't possibly "get" what he's saying the first time due to its complicated, intricate subject matter, so he repeats it in a different lame way with the attitude that the reporter is just a dumb asshole for questioning his wisdom in the first place. If I hear "in other words..." again from his face I'll smash my TV and computer! At first this had comedic value just to see his blood pressure stroke out, but the past few days have me so pissed off. This whiny little punk works for the PUBLIC as an employee and yet his royal behavior is only getting worse.

If anyone knows how to get to Marty Short, I think an update of the character would be so great instead of the usual Bush impressions. I'd love to see him in a cameo on the season opening of SNL doing this version of Bush - the whiny, juvenile, pouting, podium-smashing Bush is something no one has ever done when imitating him and it's time.

2. Martin Short also did this Karr character
when he was Ed Grimley. Precognizant, I guess.

3. Maybe * will go all Ed Grimley on us
pull his pants up under his pits and start dancing around the podium going "As long as I'm president we'll stay in Iraq I must say".
