Embryonic Stem Cell Research Breakthrough..... |
|
Advanced Cell Technology (ACTC) has patented a way to extract a single cell from an embryonic stem cell and create, in effect, another stem cell to which medical research can be conducted....the process leaves the original stem cell intact and fully capable to become a human being if need be...

2. Still won't be good enough |
|
This probably still won't be good enough because the extract cell has the potential for life. KKKarl the spinner is probably working on his talking points as we speak.

4. It isn't, say the boneheads. |

However, David Christensen, from the Family Research Council, a US-based conservative group, said: "What is good about this research is that it shows many more researchers are seeing that we need alternatives to destroying human embryos to get stem cells.
"Unfortunately what Professor Lanza did was entirely unethical because he generated and manipulated 16 human embryos and then threw them all away."

5. That blows the right-wing fundie argument clear out of the water |
|
...doesn't it. Shrub fighting this issue on moral grounds is total bullshit. Follow the money. Who got there first is the question that should be asked. American R&D is held back while overseas research sails right on ahead.
