Dede just called and Said that the surgury went really well and Cindy is groggy but doing very good.
The Doctor was very assuring that he was happy the way things went.
The results for the biopsy will be back in a few days.

I had the pleasure of meeting her on the opening day of Camp Casey III and, though she was on the 34th day of her "Troops Home Fast" fast, she looked good. And she's a really sincere and concerned woman too about the state of affairs in this country. I felt privileged to have been able to speak with her.

32. Best wishes for a speedy recovery and I hope you consider talking about

what caused you to go to the doctor and what options you were given to determine cause of your anemia.

I was told by my doctor that my fatigue and spotting were because I was close to menopause. Turned out I was very anemic which was caused by a bleeding polyp. Spotting/bleeding symptoms continued for a year and a half and I finally went back in and was again told I was peri-menopausal and sent home with a pat on the head. I called back a few days later and demanded a sonogram (least invasive method instead of biopsy) to at least see what was going on in my uterus.

I haven't talked w/my doctor yet about results, but the technician said it was either a small polyp or fibroid and nothing to worry about.

Many, many women are told not to worry or concern themselves when something abnormal is going on with their body.

Many women also get the diagnosis of uterine or cervical cancer too late....


I don't mean to hijack this thread, but I do think that women need more info so they can ask informed questions when they get medical care. We have to learn to discuss openly some of the signs and symptoms of different ailments.
