Thanks CNN! Thanks for NOT mentioning the CIA-Osama connection
Oh, and thanks for making it look like Clinton was to blame for not retaliating against the attacks in Africa and the Cole...

But most of all, thanks CNN, for airing another "special terror report" right before an election. Is this the third time now?

TERRA TERRA TERRA TERRA voteGOP TERRA TERRA TERRA TERRA!!!

2. I would assume
they didn't bother to mention that the US let Osama escape from Tora Bora?

11. They showed pictures and said Tora Bora hiding place was bombed
for a whole week with "bunker busters, daisy cutters and missiles" (according to Amanpour) but they were not able to get him. A military person who was in charge of it said that they didn't have enough "ground troops" to get him...it couldn't be done with bombs. So, that's all they would admit. :eyes:

4. OMG!! Is anyone watching this now?!
Look at all the smiling Afghani's! Yea America! Look at all the internal al-qaeda criticism against the 9/11 attacks!

This entire 2 hour "special" is BULLSHIT MARKETING for the upcoming election.

5. Right on the eve of the Katrina anniversary...GOP/CNN countering bad news
They are rehashing 9/11 in EXCRUCIATING DETAIL - and I don't even have the f*cking volume up.

It looks like Anderson Cooper is all on the 9/11 tip tonight too.

Says CNN: Hurricane who? Katrina who?

6. What a disgusting Puff Piece for Osama....how many camera shots of
him did they use that made him look like a sympathetic figure? Notice the one of him in Tora Bora with the music that made him look like Jesus? OMG!

Not one piece of revealing info in that whole report and then they ended it by saying Al Qaeda was in Iraq! I lost all respect I had for Christiane Amanpour in this.

Notice how few commercials their were....and all that music designed to enhance your experience (make you sad...make you threatened..).

I think the Saudi Government and the Carlyle Group paid CNN BIG TIME for this one. It was a rehab of Osama and a trash of Bill Clinton. Who would be interested in doing both of those?

9. I forced myself to watch the damned thing...figuring the "average American
view of it would be good to know. Sat through the whole damned 2 hours waiting for it to be anything but an "Ode to Osama."

I wish I hadn't bothered...but in a way it confirmed that CNN is just Propaganda...for the Saudi's this time...and for whoever pays them the most. This was Saudi money and as I said in a post above I think Carlyle Group and Poppy/Baker had a big hand in this. Hell...they probably produced the damned piece of puff. Only shot of Bush in this whole thing was him in his flight suit looking like a hero...where there were three shots of Clinton "failing to get Osama." :puke:

10. I especially liked the part...
Edited on Wed Aug-23-06 10:44 PM by boolean
I especially liked the part where they said al qaeda members criticized osama for the 9/11 attacks, saying that it unleashed american power and that now al qaeda is on the run. All they needed to add was a clip of sean hannity praising bush for the great job he's been doing.

I also LOVED that they didn't even mention Reagan. Not even once. Not even when they were on the subject of the Soviets invading Afghanistan. In fact, I LOVED how they didn't even mention America at all in that conflict. It was all Soviet vs. Afghanistan with osama there learning how to become a warrior!

12. We may be handling terrorism is a way that encourages defeat...
but it is real. I would say invading Iraq was the biggest propaganda coup for Osama, as you know he did mention in his little fatwa that we were going to do that. Didn't anyone on our side even pay the slightest attention to the bullshit he is feeding these people? If we had Iraq would not have been invaded. Invading Iraq literally was the absolute WORST thing to do. So sad how many of the people on our side (in Congress) were so spineless that they voted for this damn war.

16. I felt it was a very sympathetic portrayal of Osama... Music designed
to draw you in whenever he appeared...lots of shots of his big brown eyes...

It reminded me of those biographies of entertainers they do on MSNBC on the weekend. Same kind of format where you are supposed to follow Osama from childhood and get listen interviews and testimonials of childhood friends and everyone else who knew him on his way "up."

Especially when they quoted a remark from, get this, "Jihad Magazine."

And they were serious (or is that series!), too! There's really a magazine called "Jihad Magazine." Sorry, I find that Mad Magazine-kind of funny. It's kind of like "Cat Fancy" for jihadists, I guess.

was to "retaliate" against? Osama BL was responsible for the attacks on the Cole etc. and Bush "isn't that concerned about him." Should we have killed innocent Iraqi's after the Cole incident?
