EVERY Prophet or "Other" has told us, it's just a matter of "will".
EVERY impactful leader that has advanced humanity has told us, it's just a matter of "will".

There are so many "wills" at work,...I wonder how on earth those "wills" can be gathered to achieve the basic survival of humanity and the preservation of this host/ess (our earth)?

The "wills" in power are destroying both, without discrimination. I repeat, without discrimination.

What is to be done about THOSE "wills" which have no conscience about either humanity or this earth? What? THOSE "wills" would imprison, torture, execute any true Prophet or "Other" or Leader to advance power and consumption.

Maybe, this is the way it's suppose to be, the way it's suppose to happen. My mind and soul heart says, it's all wrong. I am a thinker, a worker, a warrior,...and, there is NO LEADER acquiring the unified "will" necessary to place, at least, a STOP SIGN to this spiralling insanity.

We are capable of creating, of problem-solving, of infinite possibilities. Why the fuck are we, like, stuck in the mud? If it's the human psyche, we'd better get past our personal issues, our 'ethical' issues, and come to terms to what IS.

That's all.

1. I strongly refute the assertion that "prophets have advanced humanity".

Humanity doesn't needs neither prophets, nor salvation.
I think the frustration expressed in your post concerns our culture, not our species.

Anyway, I do agree that will and responsibility are more valuable than escapism. But, what prophet hasn't been more a proponent of a better life after this one, rather than saying "this one is all we have, brothers and sisters."?

edit: spllng

4. I think the 'Prophets' only pick up what some people want
Which comes first? The prophets or the people? Only when something gets big enough does the 'prophet' seem like one. Most are crack pots that land in the dust-bin of history. Course that comes from a belief that people bring about change and not leaders on a general thing. I will say it is just one theory of history.

5. Successful, sustainable humanity was first, by 2 million years.
There have been 10s of thousands of distinct human cultures on Earth. Many thousands exist peacefully and relatively war-free today. Our culture doesn't think they're valuable, nor does it think we could learn from any of them.
It just so happens that the current major conflicts can loosely be described as a war among believers in prophets played out on a global battlefield co-opted by cultures with a prophet as their distracting figurehead, living the myth that unmitigated, divinely authorized expansion was their manifest destiny, and that their way to live is The One Right Way To Live.

"...people bring about change and not leaders on a general thing..."

I don't exactly disagree with that. ;)

6. We did get our culture from Europe but we also did this
added in much from the Am. Indians or if not from them maybe it is just ideas that run though all cultures. On top of that the Culture of Europe have added things from around the world. If we are human we all tend to carry the same baggage. One has to wonder why people in this county think it so odd that people would blow up them self for an idea when the Japanese did it during WW2, Am. Indians fought with not change of winning, and Westerns went to war in WW1 where 50,000 died in one battle, and the Germany army fought to the bitter end. It seems to be the same culture wrapped in the same belief but called another name. So we say we do not understand it.

2. Splat and his neoclown minions are likely the best thing to
happen to this country in a long time. As Osama binLaden was purported to do, the vile chimpinchief has succeeded at: awakening the sleeping giant.

All of the things that most of the more attentive of us have been aware of the last fifty years that really really needed done have been absolutely, disappointingly beyond us.

This criminal cabal has enlivened a movement and has angered an enormous, eclectic majority. We are well and truly pissed but, hell, we always have been. Now the reinforcements are checking in and getting counted.

Since the truth and reality have a liberal bias, anyone, even a republiclown, who starts acknowledging any part of the truth will automatically be doing something liberal and progressive. It can't be helped and avoided. It's inevitable.

3. Well, it takes wisdom, too.
As Plato would say.

There are a lot of virtues out there.
