Imagine the wave of nausea that hit me when I opened my hotel "newspaper"
Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 11:49 AM by Mayberry Machiavelli
to see this:

http://www.usatoday.com/news/opinion/editorials/2006-08-22-bush-clinton-katrina_x.htm

In Katrina, compassion met adversity
...

Former presidents George H. W. Bush and William Jefferson Clinton helped direct the Bush-Clinton Katrina Fund.

I'm not opposed to bipartisanship in principle, particularly in a good cause. But Bill Clinton joining himself at the hip to Poppy disgusts me. Especially considering that it's the BFEE/Repub party (same thing these days) and its Rove propaganda arm that has totally defamed his wife and has made, and continues to make, a swear word out of her name to millions of intellectually impaired, propaganda susceptible Americans.

And will CONTINUE to do so if and when she runs for President!

Bill could have pursued good works, including this cause, without associating with that loathsome bunch.

1. Doesn't surprise me a whole lot, though...
I mean, by the end of Bush II's second term, either a Bush or a Clinton will have ruled the White House for 20 years -- an entire generation. More, if Hillary gets elected in 2008.

At the heights they're at, one can pretty much expect the two families to start banding together. It's less about politics, more about power-elite.

3. Do you expect the Rove Repubs to "call the dogs off" if it's HC vs Repub?
I sure don't.

5. STOP READING USA TODAY!! It's fluff and blather and crap
Edited on Thu Aug-24-06 11:55 AM by Viva_La_Revolution
Just cause they give it to you for *free*, doesn't mean you have to actually read it. They should have The Wall Street Journal and the local paper in the Lobby.

disclaimer - I saw that too, someone left a copy of yesterday's edition in the break room. Skipped right over it and went to the money section for about a minute. It was mostly fluff too. :(

8. I'm on vacation.. I don't feel "harmed" by seeing this page, but it shows
me how much Clinton has publicly aligned with Poppy, which is what most Americans see. That knowledge is important to me.

They give me a free paper, I'll at least page through it over breakfast, LOL, even if it's RW crap (to a degree).

6. bush has more in common politically with clinton than his own son
bush knows his son is 1/10th of the president clinton was.

7. Problem is, you and I may know that, but his associating with them is
a form of tacit approval of shrub junior to the idiots that populate so much of the country.
