A little background on the story. It was just after the 2nd election theft for king george and it was an emotional time. As evidence of the gop's illegal behavior was being gathered, no one in the media mentioned a word about it--until Keith. Ko was the first mainstream media person in the US to talk about the election "irregularities" in Ohio, and gained much respect & admiration because of that. Someone was sticking up for democracy--and he was handsome!

So the floatie hearts began, just like you did in your post, then another poster would post more floatie hearts, and then another even more, and then gigantic floatie hearts were created and used. :rofl: Some posts--not threads, posts--prolly had a hundred floatie hearts. :rofl: I think they were kind of used to say I love Keith more than you--you know how that goes. I'm a proud Democrat as well. What I said was not "pure bs". I have been a firefighter for the city of Birmingham for 16 years. I know and have worked with, hundreds of firefighters during my career. We are a tight knit group, and know one another pretty well. Most of the FFs I have known are no different than most people in AL., the exception being, how they claim to vote. The majority are against abortion, against G&L marriage, and in favor of the war, but say they voted for Kerry. The reason why they voted for Kerry? because of our union's support for him, that makes them single issue voters, and that was my point. JK promised to push for collective bargaining for all FFs, and increased federal funding for fire depts, things that are very important to FFs., without those, most would have voted repug, if they voted based on their views. A vote is private, only the person casting it really knows how it was cast, I wouldn't be surprised if quite a few towed the union line until they were in the voting booth, and then switched.

Yet another Democrat has turned against Joe Lieberman, but this time it's a group that had Lieberman as a founding member: The New Democrat Network (full disclosure: I used to serve on the Board, though I resigned from the group today after seeing this post). It's a disappointing and opportunistic position to curry favor with the (very) far left at the expense of a thoughtful Democrat who admittedly has made some poor word choices that I and many others have complained about. But he doesn't deserve to be thrown overboard, and certainly not by organizations he helped start.

That quote of course implies that President Bush actually has credibility that can be undermined. But setting that aside, it is the kind of statement that Democrats have to endure from Republicans, but we don't have to listen to it from a member of our own party. Lieberman wasn't just saying that he supports the war, a position that even many Democrats could grudgingly accept from a Senator that votes with the Democratic Party 90% of the time. He was saying that if you don't support the war then you should just shut up.

The hair flicking and sideways searching, was a sign of extreme duress and she knew she had been had. She was looking for an easy out, but there was no way she could defend her position, (there never is), and all she could do was run away before she got clobbered again. Clinton was the linchpin, once she mentioned that, (and not the time that Clinton sent cruise missiles in the hope of getting bin Laden), she was wide open for the coup de grace. Kirsten then had the sense to leave Coulter hanging w/o any way out of the situation...panic ensued, and I am willing to bet the shame that Coulter feels at running away is far beyond anything most of us can imagine, and it is justly deserved.

Coulter showed herself to be the windbag she truly is, and then ran like a scared schoolyard bully

Every single clip I've watched of her being interviewed by a woman, she behaves in a condescending, offensive manner: Eyes rolling, visual daggers, sarcastic remarks. The one time I observed her in a live interview was on the "Today Show" with Katie Couric. Katie was questioning Coulter about the contents of her book, "Slander", which had just been released. Coulter's reactions to Couric's questions were feigned outrage and defensiveness.

Contrast that to her interviews with men: Chris Matthews, Donny Deutsch, Matt Lauer, Lou Dobbs, Sean Hannity, Bill O'Reilly. She's giggling. Short skirts. Flirting. Outrageous comments. "Basic Instinct" crotch shot. Tossing her hair over her shoulders. It's a cocktail party where Ann's the center of attention, and she's the cutest little trick in the room. Or, so she thinks. (The only exception I've seen regarding this observation was when Adam Carolla hung up on her on his radio show.)

Thank God Kirsten could see through that transparent BS, and cut Coulter down to size. Excellent job!
