Attack a SECULAR Nation? Iraq was one of the most Westernized Arab Nations and it was Secular. Women were treated as equals and held many prominent positions. People think Iraq was not in any way a Democracy but each village and town elected their own leaders, from mayor to dogcatcher. They were not all Saddam followers. It is no longer a Secular Nation.....We fixed it...

Actually the US and Iran were (and are) enemies, as you certainly know.
Iraq (and Saddam) were only the US' pawn against Iran at that time.

10. We went to war with Iraq for oil but not in the way you think. . .

We went to oust a regime that controlled a substantial source of oil and was selling it far below market price. That takes money out of the coffers of our ARAB firends AND reduces the ability of International energy suppliers from crying high crude prices as an excuse for reaising costs to energy consumers. Stop and think, has the price of any petroleum product actually fallen below pre-war prices? No!! The strategy is working, hysteria drives oi=crude prices up, infrastructure destruction drives crude oil up, those rising prices provide inernational oil companies with the excuse to drive costs to consumers up even higher thn their costs.
